Trotsky (Russian: Троцкий) is a Russian biographical eight-episode television mini-series about Leon Trotsky directed by Alexander Kott and Konstantin Statsky. The series stars Konstantin Khabensky in the title role. It debuted on Channel One in Russia on 6 November 2017 [1] [2] for the centenary of the Russian Revolution.
It is a celebratory dramatization of the 1917 October Revolution commissioned for the tenth anniversary of the event. Originally released in the Soviet Union as October , the film was re-edited and released internationally as Ten Days That Shook The World , after John Reed 's popular 1919 book on the Revolution.
