The 2024 ASEAN Championship knockout stage (previously AFF Championship) [1] was played from 26 December 2024 to 5 January 2025. A total of 4 teams competed in the knockout stage to decide the champions of the 2024 ASEAN Championship. Vietnam won 5–3 on aggregate against Thailand in the final to win their third title.
The draw of the tournament was held on 19 December 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. [3] [4] The 16 teams were drawn into four groups of four teams.The teams were seeded according to their performance in the 2023 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup, with the hosts Thailand automatically seeded and assigned to Position A1 in the draw.
Group A is one of the two groups of competing nations in the 2024 ASEAN Championship. It consists of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia and East Timor. Matches will take place from 8 December to 20 December 2024. Thailand and Singapore advanced to the semi-finals as the top two teams on the group. [1]
