Blood: The Last Vampire, released in Japan as Last Blood (Japanese: ラスト・ブラッド, Hepburn: Rasuto Buraddo), is a 2009 action horror film directed by Chris Nahon, written by Chris Chow, produced by Ronny Yu, and stars Jun Ji-Hyun, Allison Miller, Liam Cunningham, Masiela Lusha, and Koyuki.
Blood: The Last Vampire spawned a sequel manga, three light novels and a video game from 2001 to 2006. It also spawned two anime series: Blood+ , which aired from 2005 to 2006, and Blood-C in 2011. A live-action film adaptation with the same title was released in 2009.

Junichi Fujisaku started working at Production I.G in the late 1990s. He acted as a planning assistant when Blood: The Last Vampire anime film was in development. The film was released in 2000, and that same year, he chief directed, written and edited the video game adaptation of The Last Vampire.
