Alt Danzig was a German settlement in the southern Russian Empire, present-day Ukraine.Its name comes from Danzig, GdaĆsk in present-day Poland. Alt, meaning "old", distinguishes this community from Neu Danzig, another German settlement in this area of the Russian Empire.
