The McMaster Faculty of Health Sciences is one of six faculties at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.The faculty was established in 1974 to oversee the School of Nursing, the School of Medicine, and Graduate programs in health sciences.

In 1942, McMaster began its first nursing programme, co-developed by the university and the Hamilton General Hospital. Graduates received a Bachelor of Arts degree B.A. along with a diploma in nursing from the Hospital upon completion. These qualifications enabled students to write the examination for nurse registration.

Founded in 1962, the faculty is located in the Westdale neighbourhood. [1] It houses 6,800 undergraduate students and 600 graduate students, across 39 upper-year undergraduate programs ranging from astrophysics, biochemistry, earth and environmental sciences, to life sciences, human behaviour, kinesiology and medical and radiation sciences. Paul Myles O'Byrne is an Irish-Canadian respirologist, the Dean and Vice-President of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Dean of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University. He was the E.J. Moran Chair of Respiratory Medicine at McMaster University Medical School from 1998 to 2016. [1]
