The tenth season had the death of family pet Buck and his subsequent reincarnation into the body of Lucky, the Bundys' next dog. The season also marks the first appearances of Peggy's father Ephraim (played by Tim Conway) and Peggy's mother, who moves in with the Bundys (although she is never seen, only heard).
The Season 11 episode "Lucky's Wedding Suit", which was originally intended to be the series final, had an ending scene in the alley which explained that the episodes "Yankee Hankee" and "Tankin' It to the Streets" were just dreams Bill had after eating at a Hungarian restaurant. When the show got uncancelled by Fox, this scene was removed.
