State Road A1A (SR A1A) is a major north–south Florida State Road consisting of seven separate sections running a total of 338.752 miles (545.168 km) along the Atlantic Ocean, from Key West at the southern tip of Florida, to Fernandina Beach, just south of Georgia on Amelia Island.
East of the Banana River, SR 520 runs through Cocoa Beach, and heads towards its eastern terminus at SR A1A. From 2002 to 2007, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) widened the 22-mile (35 km) stretch to four lanes. The stretch had garnered the nickname "Bloody 520" for the numerous fatalities that had occurred on this stretch.

State Road 524 (SR 524) is a five-mile-long southwest–northeast street in Cocoa, Florida.It is signed east–west. The western terminus is an intersection with SR 520 just outside the Cocoa city limits; the eastern terminus is an intersection with SR 501 just south of a SR 528 interchange at Grissom Parkway.
