Alcina Dimitrescu (/ ˈ ə l s ɪ n iː ɑː ˈ d ɪ m iː t r ɛ s k / ⓘ; Japanese: オルチーナ・ドミトレスク, Hepburn: Oruchīna Domitoresuku), better known as Lady Dimitrescu, is a character in the Resident Evil survival horror video game series created by the Japanese company Capcom.
Chris is first introduced in Resident Evil as a pointman for the Raccoon City Police Department's S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team. Capcom had considered populating the game's castle and village with hundreds of witches but found this difficult to conceptualize. The team decided to switch directions from witches to vampires for Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters, albeit avoiding stereotypical tropes of vampires in popular culture.
