Jerry Yan (Chinese: 言承旭; pinyin: Yán Chéngxù), born Liao Yangzhen (Chinese: 廖洋震; pinyin: Liào Yángzhèn), is a Taiwanese actor, model and singer. A former member of boy band group F4, Yan is known for his lead role as Daoming Si in the Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden and its sequel. [2] [3]
Chou rose to fame for his role as Hua Ze Lei in the highly popular Taiwan television series Meteor Garden. [4] At the conclusion of the series, Chou along with the other cast members of Meteor Garden; Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu continued to perform together and released three studio albums as the quartet boy band F4.

In 2002, Wu became the second F4 member, after Vic Chou, to release his debut solo album, Body Will Sing. The track, "I Hate Myself" is listed at number 95 on Hit Fm Taiwan's Hit Fm Annual Top 100 Singles Chart for 2002. [2]
