Plant pathology John Hubert Craigie , OC FRS FRSC [ 1 ] (December 8, 1887 – February 26, 1989) was a Canadian plant pathologist . He is known for his "research and development of rust -resistant cereals which have been of vital significance to Canada as a cereal producing nation."
Hans Theodor Güssow (1879–1961) was a Canadian plant pathologist. Güssow was born in Breslau, Germany (today known as Wrocław, part of Poland) and educated at universities in Breslau, Leipzig and Berlin. In 1903 he moved to the UK to work as an assistant to William Carruthers who was the botanist for the Royal Agricultural Society. [1]

[1] She has conducted research in India, the USA and Canada [2] and her work has resulted in new and innovative disease management strategies to improve plant health through Integrated Pest Management. [1]

[1] 1939–1943 he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. Upon his return, he was employed in the Division of Botany and Plant Pathology at the Central Experimental Farm of the Department of Agriculture. He mainly worked on diseases of ornamental plants. From 1949, he went on numerous expeditions to the Canadian Arctic.
