Initially the Allison 1000 was a 5 speed transmission, rated to handle up to 620 lb⋅ft (840 N⋅m) of torque. This rating has increased as the transmission was updated several times, to stand at 765 lb⋅ft (1,037 N⋅m) by 2011 in GM truck applications.

The LMM (engine code "6") debuted part way through 2007 and ended production with the start of the 2011 calendar year and is mated to the 6-speed Allison transmission. The LMM was the only Duramax offered for model years 2007–2010. [6] A version was used in the Trident Iceni. [7]

The Freightliner FS-65 is a cowled school bus chassis (conventional style) that was manufactured by Freightliner from 1997 to 2008. Derived from the Freightliner FL-Series medium-duty trucks, the FS-65 was produced primarily for school bus applications, though commercial-use buses and cutaway-cab buses were also built using the FS-65 chassis.
International-branded 2002 AmTran RE. Introduced in 1996 as a chassis for the AmTran RE, the 3000 was the first rear-engine bus chassis produced in nearly 20 years.Aside from a few buses bodied by Corbeil in the late 1990s, this chassis has been used exclusively by AmTran and its Navistar corporate successor IC Bus.
