Sony released the following E-mount cameras since 2010. The E stands for the Eighteen mm flange distances of the E-mount cameras. Depending on type and model E-mount cameras are part of the Sony α, SmartShot, Handycam, NXCAM or XDCAM systems. List of Sony E-mount cameras:
Cyber-shot model names use a DSC prefix, which is an initialism for "Digital Still Camera". Many Cyber-shot models feature Carl Zeiss trademarked lenses, while others use Sony, or Sony G lenses. All Cyber-shot cameras accept Sony's proprietary Memory Stick or Memory Stick PRO Duo flash memory, except the DSC-MD1 which only accept MiniDisc.
All NEX and ILCE models use this technology and feature Sony's E-mount.
