Philip G. Ziegler is a Canadian-born theologian who holds a personal chair as Professor in Christian Dogmatics at the University of Aberdeen. [1] He is author of numerous scholarly articles, books, and has led various research projects within contemporary dogmatics, the theology of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, as well as theological reflection on New Testament apocalyptic.
Torrance was educated in Edinburgh, receiving first class degrees in philosophy (for which he was also awarded senior medals in moral philosophy, logic and metaphysics) and theology. Following this he continued his studies in Marburg and Basel , where he studied with Karl Barth , and then continued research in Oxford .
In 2011, the quality of his teaching was recognised by a University-wide Teaching Award from the Edinburgh University Students’ Association. [19] He teaches on courses at the Aberdeen Academy of Theology, and at events of the Centre for Ministry Studies in Aberdeen, of which he is an associate. [20]
David Lennard Clough (born 6 June 1968) is a British author and academic with a focus on the Christian vegetarian and Christian vegan movements. He is Professor in Theology and Applied Sciences at the University of Aberdeen [2] [3] and a Methodist preacher. [4]
