Pierpoint Landing was a sportfishing, eating and entertainment complex located at the end of Pier A in Long Beach, California, and what is now Pier F.In operation from 1948 to 1972, it was at one time the largest sportfishing operation in the world, attracting two million anglers annually.

The Breakers Hotel was developed by a local Long Beach banker and capitalist, Fred B. Dunn. [4] Construction began in fall 1925, with a projected cost of $2,250,000. [4] The original structure consisted of a single-story base that spanned an entire city block with a central tower rising thirteen stories above the main body of the building.
The pier is open one hour before sunrise and closes at midnight daily. Lights, stations for fish cleaning, restrooms and a bait and tackle shop are available. [3] Fish species reported to be caught off the pier include halibut, barracuda, shark, sand bass, croaker and perch.
In 1946, after World War II, the Port of Long Beach was established as "America’s most modern port" with the completion of the first of nine clear-span transit sheds. [19] Pier E was completed and Pier B was expanded to two times its size in 1949. Pierpoint Landing completed on Pier F in 1948, becoming a large sport fishing spot.
