Kesariya stupa is a Buddhist stupa in Kesariya, located at a distance of 110 kilometres (68 mi) from Patna, in the East Champaran district of Bihar, India. Construction of the stupa at this site began in the 3rd century BCE. [1] Kesariya Stupa has a circumference of almost 400 feet (120 m) and a height of about 104 feet (32 m). [1]
The Kesariya stupa was discovered in 1958 during an excavation led by Archaeologist KK Muhammed of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). A 1998 excavation of the area surrounding the stupa uncovered significant items, such as Islamic coins, arrowheads, copper and terracotta items, earthen lamps, decorated bricks, etc.
Kesari is the soundtrack album to the 2019 film of the same name directed by Anurag Singh, starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra.The album featured twelve songs composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Arko Pravo Mukherjee, Chirantan Bhatt, Jasbir Jassi, Gurmoh, Jasleen Royal and Rishi Rich with lyrics written by Kumaar, Manoj Muntashir, Kunwar Juneja and Bagchi.
