Nishiki Market (錦 市場, Nishiki Ichiba, literally "brocade market") is a marketplace in downtown Kyoto, located on the east end of Nishikikōji Street, [1] one block north and parallel to Shijō Street (四条通, Shijō-dōri) and west of Teramachi Street (寺町通, Teramachi-dōri).
Kawaramachi Street (河原町通, Kawaramachi-dōri) runs parallel to the west bank of the Kamo River on the eastern side of Kyoto, Japan. Its intersection with Shijō Street is called Shijō Kawaramachi and is a leading shopping district of the city.
