The Town of Lochbuie (/ l ɒ k ˈ b uː i / lok-BOO-ee) [7] is a statutory town located in Weld and Adams counties in the U.S. state of Colorado. The town population was 8,088 at the 2020 United States Census .
Lochbuie from the west with Loch Uisg at left, Moy Castle at centre, Eilean Mòr to the right and Druim Fada beyond. Once known as the "Garden of Mull", [2] the fertile land around the main village of seventeen houses [3] is surrounded by hills, with the narrow valley to the east containing both Loch Uisg and the only road to the estate.
Hector Reaganach Maclean or Hector the Stern, was the first laird and the founder of the Macleans of Lochbuie.He was a son of John Dubh MacLean, 4th Clan Chief.He was a noted warrior in his day, and between him and his brother Lachlan always existed a strong affection, and were never separated in their warlike expeditions.
