Dogger Bank (Dutch: Doggersbank, German: Doggerbank, Danish: Doggerbanke) is a large sandbank in a shallow area of the North Sea about 100 kilometres (62 mi) off the east coast of England. During the last ice age, the bank was part of a large landmass connecting mainland Europe and the British Isles, now known as Doggerland.

The Outer Dowsing Shoal is a shallow-water sand bank, aligned north-west to south-east. [2] The shoal is about 19.5 km long and is rarely more than 1 km wide. Its mid point is located about 65.2 km due west of Donna Nook on the Lincolnshire coast. At its shallowest the water depth is 4 m. [2] The bank comprises gravel and sand deposits.
