I think the true answer comes and is understood and accepted when we are ready for it. That's what the High Priestess says. She is the womb, remember - she gestates everything we are and ever will be, everything we know and will know. But things can't be born before their day. This doesn't necessarily mean a negative, btw.

Ask me if I'm voting for Obama and my answer is "no and yes." All of which leads me think, in the end, that the HPS is telling you that you presented the deck with a false dilemma. You need to rethink and reformulate the question because the way you asked it, or just the current circumstances, don't lend themselves to a yes/no answer.
In my experience the High Priestess means that something is unrevealed. Either not enough is known or something is being withheld. The High priestess, along with The Hierophant, are teachers - she of our inner, he of our outer selves. Perhaps the card is indicating that you need to learn for yourself.
The High Priestess could say that he loves you deeply; much words aren't necessary with this card, but the High Prietess is as well Wisdom with some detachment. This could show deep love but not love blinded by passion. With this card (that could depict maturity into feelings) it is possible that your relationship isn't too young, or that he ...
I recently asked four yes/no questions, the first two dealt with one situation and the second two with another. In each instance, the reply was the High Priestess which was supposed to mean "no". Well, it turned out that for the first two questions the answer was "yes" (I don't know if I'll ever know the answer to the second two questions).
That disclaimer out of the way, my 1st thought is that the 9 of cups would seem promising for a hoped for love relationship--feelings of happiness, comfort and even sexual pleasure. The High Priestess would suggest that the going may be a little rough at first until you realize that there is a lot of unseen issues perhaps to be dealt with and ...
It makes me wonder if High Priestess is what you get if you practice kitchen magick, folk magick or shamanism magick (which most witchcraft and wiccans do) while the Temperence card is for those who practice chaos (which I do), Goetia, Enochian, Hermetic magick (which is suppose to be more higher form and intellectual "collegiate" form of ...
willowfox. #7. ***The High Priestess Rx suggests you were/are seen as promiscuous, bit like a harpy, trying to come on to the guy, this is your behaviour as seen by others. Others will judge you by what you do, or appear to be doing. Acting strange in a shop will suggest to the staff that you are trying to steal something when in fact you have ...
bec. #1. High Priestess is properly the most profound card to read in the majors. She already means so much when upright, turning her upside down, makes my head spin. Instead of sitting the priestess is now floating between to grounded pillars. Pillars are in black and white, meaning could be the foundation, and our world is very much either ...
