Finder is exclusively on Mac computers, not iPads or iPhones. iTunes used to be an app on Mac computers but is currently only on Windows PCs. It cannot be installed on an iPad or iPhone. Anyway, I think the following is a better method than using Terminal. In Finder, open the 'Go' menu and choose 'Go to Folder…'. In the window that appears, enter '~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates'. Here you'll see the download and be able to check/remove when it's done. I did find the size slow to update.

The easiest way of dealing with it is to open terminal and type "killall Dock" (although it is not a full solution, as the issue re-appears) . This then recovers the Dock for a time. Alternatively, right click the dock icon and "open new finder window" or whatever the app equivalent is. [Edited by Moderator]
Finder is Apple's file manager on Mac. It does not have anything to do with your choice of Web Browser. Windows PCs would have Windows Explorer as the equivalent to Finder. Firefox would have nothing to do with that. If you are referring to Apple's web browser on Mac, its called Safari, not Finder, and no there is no Safari for Windows. FoxFifth.
