The Monza Circuit (Italian: Autodromo Nazionale di Monza; lit. ' Monza National Racetrack ' ) is a 5.793 km (3.600 mi) race track near the city of Monza , north of Milan , in Italy. Built in 1922, it was the world's third purpose-built motor racing circuit after Brooklands and Indianapolis and the oldest in mainland Europe .
Until 1969, the full Monza circuit (including the banked oval) was used. To slow the cars, chicanes were installed in 1965 at the beginning of the second bank (the south curve) and in 1966 at the beginning of the other bank. A lap was 10.100 km (6.276 mi) long, for a total distance of 1,010 km (100 laps).
It will begin in April at Monza Circuit and conclude in October at Misano World Circuit. The championship will continue its cooperation with the F2000 Italian Formula Trophy, with the two series sharing grids and race slots for multiple rounds.
