When Orpheus arrives with fellow Cave contestant Anatole, Charon agrees to take them across. However, he stops in mid-stream, announces that he can only take one person, and suggests that the two should fight it out. Anatole prevails until Charon spots the mark on Orpheus's hand, and throws Anatole overboard.
