U.S. Route 380 (US 380) is an east–west United States highway. The highway's eastern terminus is in Greenville, Texas at an intersection with Interstate 30 , of which the easternmost 3–4 miles are concurrent with US 69 in a loop around the west and south sides of Greenville.

Farmersville originated in 1849 as a settlement on the Jefferson-McKinney Road, and near Republic of Texas National Road - now known as US Highway 380 and Texas State Highway 78, respectively. The settlement was named by two of the original settlers - William Pickney Chapman & John Hendrex - after the chief occupation of many of the residents. [8]
Shortly after intersecting US 69/US 380, SH 34 overlaps with a business route of US 69 through the city's downtown area. Leaving the city, the highway serves as the western terminus for SH 224 . North of Wolfe City , the highway makes a sharp turn and runs east for a few miles before turning back north in Ladonia .

He formed a company of men who fought for the Union in Arkansas, even as other Greenville residents fought for the Confederacy.
