Excelsior College, a private college located in Albany, New York, until 2001 called Regents College. It should not be confused with Regent College, Leicester, a sixth form college located in Leicester, England. In April 1998, the Board of Regents granted the school a charter to operate as an independent institution. On January 1, 2001, Regents College became Excelsior College.
