The numbers you are looking for on 90% of Carter carbs is 3-4 digits with an 's', 'sa', 'sb'. The B&B series carbs also use a L-N-L-N notation, ie D6E3. Numbers in the format of 0-, 1-, 6-, and all casting marks and will not cross to a rebuild kit or parts. The resources below should help you identify your carburetor model and locate the number.

I have identified the Air Horn #6-1271, Main Body #0-108, and the Throttle Body # 1-1453 as shown in the photos below. While doing my research I have found a document that shows and lists the carb ID number as 2655S.
