You are not alone! I have never played a game as thrilling as Dark and Darker...imo. I personally find going into dungeons equiped only with gray items makes the game even more thrilling. In regard to gear, I think the dopamine rush you get when you open a large chest makes the game so addicting. I also like the exp leveling system.
