[4]His television show Dynamo: Magician Impossible ran from July 2011 to September 2014, and saw him win the Best Entertainment Programme award at the 2012 and 2013 Broadcast Awards.
He originated tricks that have subsequently become familiar features of the repertoire of other performers and he was honoured by The Magic Circle. [4] Alan achieved fame through a series of stunts staged for the media. He made headline news in 1949 when a "buried alive" stunt, performed for Pathe News, nearly went wrong. [4]

In March 2016, Dynamo played three sold-out shows at The O2, London. [7] In doing so, he became the first magician to headline the venue. [6] To mark the occasion, Dynamo worked with TV channel Watch, with whom he had created his TV show Dynamo: Magician Impossible, to bring his live show to TV screens across the United Kingdom.
