The Hubble Space Telescope (HST or Hubble) is a space telescope that was launched into low Earth orbit in 1990 and remains in operation. It was not the first space telescope, but it is one of the largest and most versatile, renowned as a vital research tool and as a public relations boon for astronomy.
It offered explanations for a variety of properties of the Solar System, including the nearly circular and coplanar orbits of the planets, and their motion in the same direction as the Sun's rotation. Some elements of the original nebular theory are echoed in modern theories of planetary formation, but most elements have been superseded.
NGC 2261 was imaged by the Hubble Space Telescope, and an image of the nebula was released in 1999. [6] A timelapse of NGC 2261 was taken over a period of 6 months by over 20 amateur astronomers at the Big Amateur Telescope from October 2021 – April 2022. In August 2022, the project was resumed as NGC 2261 came out from behind the Sun. [7]

When our sun dies about 5 billion years from now it might look something like this glowing celestial display which was captured from 4,600 light-years away. Hubble image of a star exploding may ...
NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope has worked out the size of a huge comet nucleus spotted by astronomers last year - and it’s the biggest ever seen. Hubble images show 80 miles-across comet as ...
The Hubble length or Hubble distance is a unit of distance in cosmology, defined as cH −1 — the speed of light multiplied by the Hubble time. It is equivalent to 4,420 million parsecs or 14.4 billion light years. (The numerical value of the Hubble length in light years is, by definition, equal to that of the Hubble time in years.)
