Radja was formed in Banjarmasin, Indonesia, on 17 March 1999 and originally consisted of brothers Ian Kasela (vocals) and Moldy Kusnadi (guitar), as well as drummer Adit Taher and bassist Shuma. Maliq & D'Essentials was conceived on 15 May 2002 with eight personnel under a genre they call organic music. The name MALIQ itself is an acronym for Music and Live Instrument Quality as the brainchild of brothers Angga & Widi Puradiredja (the group's vocalist and drummer, respectively; as well as producer, composer and arranger for the group).
After releasing 10 solo studio albums with Suria Records, in 2006, she released her eleventh solo studio album through her own company, Siti Nurhaliza Productions. Her first album under her own label, Transkripsi received critical acclaim by Malaysian music critics and was recognized as the Best Album by Anugerah Industri Muzik in 2007. [5]
