Clark Reservation State Park is a state park in Onondaga County, New York.The park is in Jamesville, NY, in the Town of DeWitt, south of Syracuse.It was the site of a large waterfall formed by melting glacial ice at the end of the last Ice Age; the plunge basin at the base of the old falls is now a small lake.
The park was selected by Robert Moses as regional headquarters for all state parks on Long Island in 1935. [1] The park served as the headquarters of the Long Island State Park Commission and Long Island State Parkway Police from their founding in 1946 until their disbandment in 1977 and 1980, respectively.
The largest parks in New York are the Adirondack Park, at six million acres (24,000 km 2; 9,400 sq mi); and the Catskill Park, at 700,000 acres (2,800 km 2; 1,100 sq mi). Together they comprise the New York Forest Preserve, properties that must be kept "Forever Wild" according to Article 14 of the New York Constitution .

Montauk County Park, formerly known as Theodore Roosevelt County Park, [1] is located approximately three miles (4.8 km) east of Montauk, New York.The park is 1,157 acres (4.68 km 2) in size, running from Montauk Highway north to Block Island Sound and is bordered on the east by Montauk Point State Park.
The park offers an outdoor swimming area at the base of a waterfall, picnic tables, playing fields, hiking and camping. The park has numerous waterfalls along a 4.5-mile (7.2 km) round-trip hike. The hiking trails follow Enfield Creek, giving many views of the rock formations in the deep, narrow gorge known as Enfield Glen.
