Century III Mall was an abandoned enclosed shopping mall located along Route 51 in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, about 10 miles southeast of downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. It operated from 1979 to 2019 — a period of almost 40 years.
In 1979, Century III Mall, the third largest enclosed shopping center in the world (at that time), opened 10 miles (16 km) away in West Mifflin to further speed the decline of Eastland. Furthermore, whereas these four malls were located in and around more affluent suburbs, Eastland was located primarily around old mill towns.
