I Am Chipmunk is the debut album by British rapper Chipmunk, released on 9 October 2009 by Columbia Records. Unknown to many, the album was originally scheduled to have been released the year before: one being 4 May and the other release date being October. His debut studio album I Am Chipmunk was released on 12 October 2009, where it reached number 2 and 49 on the UK Albums Chart and Irish Albums Chart respectively. The album had surpassed platinum-level sales of 300,000 copies in early 2010 and as such was reissued under the name I Am Chipmunk: Platinum Edition on 2 May 2010.
The music video for the song shows Chipmunk at school with his friends, and one boy (John Farnworth) is performing keepie-uppie with a football. It also shows Chip counting A-grades from his GCSE results. It features Tim Westwood, Dino Contostavlos (Dappy from N-Dubz), Wretch 32 and Griminal as well as other British artists.
The music video uses the remix version of the song and features cameos from Nate James, Booty Luv, Michael Underwood, Angelica Bell, Chipmunk and co-writer DJ Munro. The music video is a Top of the Pops spoof set in 1986 which reflects the retro style of the song.
