It closed in September, 1945 due to the ending of the fighting in the Pacific. It was reopened on a reserve basis as the Twin Cities Arsenal from 1946 to 1950. The demands of the Korean War restored full production from 1950 until it was closed down in 1957. It was renamed as the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant in 1963.
