This is a list of Canada's 338 electoral districts as defined by the 2013 Representation Order which first came into effect for the 2015 Canadian Federal Election on October 19, 2015. In most cases, provinces have been broken down into regions of a dozen or fewer districts; these are entirely unofficial and somewhat arbitrary.
However, it became common, especially in Ontario, to divide counties with sufficient population into multiple electoral divisions. The Constitution Act, 1867, which created the electoral map for Ontario for the first federal and provincial general elections, used the term "ridings" to describe districts which were sub-divisions of counties.
