The Dillinger Escape Plan evolved from the hardcore punk band Arcane. Arcane was an aggressive, political-oriented act formed in 1996 by vocalists Dimitri Minakakis, Brad McMahon, guitarist Ben Weinman, bassist Bruce Fulton and drummer Chris Pennie. [5]
