Myagdi District (Nepali: म्याग्दी जिल्ला Listen ⓘ), a part of Gandaki Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The district, with Beni as its district headquarters, covers an area of 2,297 km 2 (887 sq mi), had a population of 114,447 in 2001 and 113,641 in 2011.
Divisional secretariats are the third-level administrative divisions of the country and there are currently [as of?] 331 divisional secretariats in Sri Lanka. [1] They were formerly known as D.R.O. divisions, after the divisional revenue officer. Later the D.R.O.s became assistant government agents and the givisions were known as A.G.A. divisions.
As a result of these reforms the state became the largest plantation owner and two entities, the Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation, the Janatha Estate Development Board (People's Estate Development Board) and the USAWASAMA (Upcountry Cooperative Estate Development Board) were established to manage these estates.

In 1955, the district replaced the province as the country's main administrative unit. [17] The Ampara District was created in April 1961, [ 18 ] [ 19 ] followed by the creation of the Mullaitivu and Gampaha districts in September 1978 [ 20 ] through a new constitution , which also reintroduced the provinces as the main administrative units.
