The Majestic Hotel Group is a Catalan hotel group, with head office in Barcelona. It has been presided by the Soldevila-Casals family since its foundation, in 1918. Currently the group consists of five hotels and two apartment buildings: four of the hotels and the apartments are based in Barcelona and the other hotel is located in Palma of Majorca.

In the early 1990s, Majestic International expanded its market to the United States. [1] The name Majestic comes from the group of companies owned by the same investors. [2] Majestic is a group of companies having the same name, practicing business in 14 different sectors and running its business around the world. [3] [4]
The Ahwahnee was temporarily renamed the Majestic Yosemite Hotel in 2016 due to a legal dispute between the U.S. government, which owns the property, and the outgoing concessionaire, Delaware North, which claimed rights to the trademarked name. [5] The name was restored in 2019 upon settlement of the dispute. [6]
