The Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, [note 1] previously the N. F. Gamaleya Federal Research Center for Epidemiology & Microbiology, is a Russian medical-research institute within the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
Nikolay Fyodorovich Gamaleya (Russian: Никола́й Фёдорович Гамале́я; 17 February 1859 [O.S. 5 February] [1] – 29 March 1949 [2]) was a Russian and Soviet physician and scientist who played a pioneering role in microbiology and vaccine research.
