The Woolpack Walk is a challenge walk which starts and finishes at Woolpack Inn, Eskdale, in the Lake District of England. [1] The route covers 30 km (18.6 mi) and takes in 2,040 m (6,693 ft) of ascent.

Scafell Pike can be climbed either from the north side starting at Seathwaite or from the south side, starting at Wasdale Head. The Wasdale approach is a longer drive but provides a shorter walk. [22] Snowdon is climbed from Pen-y-Pass, although an alternative descent leads to Llanberis, and takes an additional 15 minutes. [22]
The main paths from Seathwaite or Wasdale Head to Scafell Pike, and from Great Langdale up Bowfell are heavily used, as is the 'Tourist Route' up Coniston Old Man. These tops will be busy on almost any day of the year. Away from these famous tops however it is possible to find quieter walking, particularly to the south.
