The Billings Montana Temple was dedicated on November 20, 1999 by church president Gordon B. Hinckley. The Helena Montana Temple was dedicated on 18 June 2023 by Gary E. Stevenson. The Missoula Montana Temple was announced on April 3, 2022 by church president Russell M. Nelson.
The LDS Church has 367 temples in various phases, which includes 202 dedicated temples (193 operating and 9 previously dedicated, but closed for renovation [1]), 3 scheduled for dedication, 48 under construction, 2 scheduled for groundbreaking, [2], and 112 others announced (not yet under construction).
