South Kesteven is a local government district in Lincolnshire, England, forming part of the traditional Kesteven division of the county. Its council is based in Grantham . The district also includes the towns of Bourne , Market Deeping and Stamford , along with numerous villages and surrounding rural areas.

The Parts of Kesteven (/ ˈ k ɛ s t ə v ən / or / k ə ˈ s t iː v ən /) are a traditional division of Lincolnshire, England. This division had long had a separate county administration ( quarter sessions ), along with the two other Parts of Lincolnshire , Lindsey and Holland .
The 2023 South Kesteven District Council election took place on 4 May 2023 to elect all 56 members of South Kesteven District Council in Lincolnshire, England. This was on the same day as other local elections across England. The council was under Conservative majority control prior to the election.
The combined parish is one of the largest in area in South Kesteven, stretching along the B6403 (High Dike – Ermine Street) from the A1 to the East Coast Main Line bridge. [citation needed] There was a railway joining the East Central main line at the B6403 road bridge and following the east side of the B6403 to Woolsthorpe.

Stamford is a town and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. The population at the 2011 census was 19,701 [ 3 ] and estimated at 20,645 in 2019. [ 4 ] The town has 17th- and 18th-century stone buildings, older timber-framed buildings and five medieval parish churches. [ 5 ]
