Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bengali: নাজমুল হোসেন শান্ত; born 25 August 1998) [2] is a Bangladeshi cricketer and currently captain of the men's national team in all formats. [3] [4] He is the second Bangladeshi to score a century in domestic Twenty20s after Sabbir Rahman.
His name is sometimes spelled Litton. [4] [5] He has two brothers. [6] He studied in Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan and played age-group cricket. On 28 July 2019, he married his long-time girlfriend Devashri Biswas Sonchita who is an agriculturist in Mirpur, Bangladesh. [5] A daughter was born to them in November 2023. [7]
