Dev Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana in December 1898. Dev became the Prime Minister of Nepal on 5 March 1901 (1957 Falgun 15). He claimed his heredity from his late brother Sri 3 Maharaja, Prime Minister Bir Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana (JBR), and received the "Laal Mohur", the official stamp of the King of Nepal from then-King Prithvi Bir Bikram Shah.
The school was originally built to teach sons [2] of Ranas exclusively but was opened to public citizens in 1902 by Dev Shumsher Jang Bahadur Rana. Shrī Tīn Dev Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana (17 July 1862 – 20 February 1914). Ruled 5 March to 27 June 1901, when as a result of his progressive nature, he was deposed by his relatives and exiled to India.

On 30 Ashwin 1941 (14 October 1884), Dhir Shamsher died unexpectedly by choking. His death uplifted the role of succession of all the roleholder Ranas. [5] As per the role of succession of the Ranas published on 10 Mangshir 1941 (23 November 1884), Lieutenant Colonel Khadga Shamsher Kunwar Rana was ranked tenth-in-line to the throne of Prime Minister and Shree Teen Maharaja.
