Farmington is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Oregon, United States. It is located on the Tualatin River, a tributary of the Willamette, about eight miles southwest of Beaverton, at the intersection of Oregon Route 10 and River Road. [1] It is about two miles east of the junction of OR 10 with Oregon Route 219.
Washington County was created as Twality District on July 5, 1843, as part of the Champoeg Meetings that created the Provisional Government of Oregon. [2] The county became Washington County by an act of the Territorial Legislature in 1849, and in 1850 the community that would become Hillsboro was selected as the county seat.

Dixie is an unincorporated historic community in Washington County, Oregon, United States. [1] Dixie post office was established five or six miles southwest of Scappoose in 1887, with John Dix as the first postmaster. [2] The office was named for the Dix family and not for the U.S. South. [2]
