Stora Trutskär is located in the central part of Kalix archipelago about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) east of Storön. [1] It lies on the east side of the bay where the Kalix River enters the Bay of Bothnia, about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) southeast of Karlsborg.
