The ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open is a women's professional golf tournament in Scotland on the Ladies European Tour (LET). First played in 1986, it became a regular fixture on the tour schedule in 2010. Since 2017 it has been co-sanctioned by the LPGA Tour and played in late July, the week prior to the Women's British Open.
In April 2019, she won the Scottish Girls' Open Championship with a score of 209, six strokes ahead of the runner-up. [5] Later in 2019, she competed for Great Britain & Ireland in the Junior Vagliano Trophy, for Scotland in the European Ladies' Team Championship and the Women's Home Internationals and for Europe in the Junior Solheim Cup. The Helen Holm Scottish Women's Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship is the national women's amateur stroke play golf championship in Scotland (although entry is open to overseas golfers). It has been played annually at Royal Troon since 1973 and is organised by the Scottish Golf. [1] The format is 54-hole stroke play contested over three days.
Her first under-21 title was the Eden Women's Masters in November 2023, where she eliminated Ellie Scott in a close match before prevailing 2-1 against Zoe Killington in the final. [ 5 ] [ 2 ] [ 7 ] She was runner-up to Bai Yulu, 0-2, at the 2024 Albanian Women's Open Under-21 tournament. [ 6 ]

She won the Scottish Ladies' Amateur Championship in 1930. [2] In 1934 she won the British Ladies Amateur at the Royal Porthcawl Golf Club and in 1938 she won it again at the Burnham & Berrow Golf Club. She was chosen for the biennial women's golf match between Britain and Ireland versus the USA known as the Curtis Cup in 1936 and 1938.
Duncan started playing golf at 10. [2] She is a product of West Kilbride Golf Club on Scotland's west coast, where she has been coached by club professional Iain Darroch. An R&A Scholar and University of Stirling student, Duncan has benefited from coaching by former European Tour winner Dean Robertson, who also served as her caddie during the 2021 Women's British Open.
