Joseph Francis Rummel (October 14, 1876 – November 8, 1964) was a German-born American Catholic prelate of the Roman Catholic Church.He served as bishop of the Diocese of Omaha in Nebraska from 1928 to 1935 and as archbishop of the Archdiocese of New Orleans from 1935 to 1964.
The St. Margaret Mary Church is a parish of the Catholic Church in Omaha, Nebraska, part of the Archdiocese of Omaha.The limestone church with High Gothic bell tower is prominently situated on a ridge overlooking Elmwood Creek along the original route of the Lincoln Highway, today known as U.S. Route 6 in the Fairacres Historic District.
It is noted for the Late Gothic Revival architecture of its 1914 parish church and related buildings on its campus located at 336 W. Pine St. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008 as St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, School and Grottoes, denoted as BU06-001.
