State Trunk Highway 104 (often called Highway 104, STH-104 or WIS 104) is a state highway in the US state of Wisconsin. It runs in a north–south direction in south central Wisconsin from Brodhead to Brooklyn. It was first designated in 1919–1920 before being rerouted in 1923–1926 and extended in 1999.
WIS 11 begins in Grant County at the freeway carrying US 61 and US 151 and concurrent with WIS 35.WIS 35 turns south to Illinois a half of a mile into the route as WIS 11 meanders to the east to Hazel Green where it picks up WIS 80 north for 3 miles (4.8 km) before turning east again into Lafayette County while WIS 80 continues north along the county line. The route replaced the old versions of WIS 11, from La Crosse to Madison, WIS 13 from Madison to Evansville, WIS 92 into Janesville, and WIS 20 and WIS 89 from Janesville to Illinois. The older WIS 14 was in existence when US 14 was opened, that was redesignated as WIS 81 and WIS 15 (the latter being the present-day I-43).

According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Brodhead has a hot-summer humid continental climate, abbreviated "Dfa" on climate maps.The hottest temperature recorded in Brodhead was 111 °F (43.9 °C) on July 21, 1901 and July 12–14, 1936, while the coldest temperature recorded was −36 °F (−37.8 °C) on January 30, 1951.
WIS 213 was designated in 1961 for a segment formerly a part of WIS 13 south of Evansville when WIS 13 was truncated to end in the Wisconsin Dells area. Later in 1961, WIS 213 was extended southerly from its terminus at WIS 81 to end at WIS 15. In 1988, Interstate 43 (I-43) replaced WIS 15, and WIS 213 was extended to the state line. [1]
The road passes Beloit College and crosses Wisconsin Highway 81 (WIS 81) before leaving Beloit and going toward Janesville. Along the way, it goes under the Wisconsin and Southern railroad and turns away from the river and passes Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport. US 51 becomes a four-lane undivided highway as it crosses WIS 11. [2]
Evansville shares a fire department with several surrounding rural towns. A new fire station was built in 2008 on Water Street. The police department then moved into the remodeled former fire department building on Church Street. The Evansville EMS is housed separate from the fire department and is located on Church Street as well.
