Michael Ryan Barrett (born January 14, 1951) is a senior United States district judge in Ohio. [1] Barrett practiced law for nearly 30 years before he was nominated by President George W. Bush and approved by the Senate to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in 2006.
He served as an assistant Ohio attorney general, and as a Cincinnati Municipal Court judge. Keating then served as a judge of the Hamilton County, Ohio Court of Common Pleas from 1964 to 1967. From 1967 to 1970, he served on the Cincinnati City Council.
