Irwin is a borough in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States.The population was 3,902 at the 2020 census.Located 22 miles (35 km) southeast of Pittsburgh, some of the most extensive bituminous coal deposits in the commonwealth are located in Irwin.
As of the census [5] of 2000, there were 879 people, 381 households, and 243 families living in the borough.. The population density was 4,307.2 inhabitants per square mile (1,663.0/km 2).
This school was used in the eastern end of the township, while Master Jack's school was used in the western end. Today, Norwin Middle School is located in the area. Schools were not the only thing that these settlers built. They also made their homes. The homes were about 10 feet (3m) high with only one room and one window.

The city is known for being the home of The Ramona Pageant, California's official outdoor play, set in the Spanish colonial era. [7] Started in 1923, the play is one of the longest-running outdoor plays in the United States. Hemet has been named a Tree City USA for 20 years by the Arbor Day Foundation for its dedication to the local forest. [8]
